Poornima Akella
Poornima Akella is a legal intern at Isaboke Law Firm, where she focuses on business and intellectual property matters. She works on matters involving individuals, businesses, and public entities, including cross-border legal issues, business disputes, and intellectual property concerns.
Poornima is earning her Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from India. Before joining Isaboke Law Firm, she worked as an intern on cross-jurisdictional matters in both India and Canada, building experience across intellectual property, business, international, and civil practice areas.
She values a client-focused approach, responsiveness, negotiation skills, communication skills, and empathetic style of working with clients. She currently works closely with clients who need practical guidance, careful attention, and support as they navigate legal challenges and business growth. She is multilingual, and her cultural awareness is reflected in her work.
Outside of work, Poornima is a first-generation lawyer, an immigrant mother, and a community builder who values service, resilience, and connection. Her background brings a thoughtful and grounded perspective to her work and to the clients she serves.
