Contract Review Essentials: Engagement Terms
Required Information
To begin the engagement, you must upload the contract in an editable or legible format (Word or searchable PDF preferred), and complete our Contract Review Intake Form. The form collects important context including the contract purpose, parties involved, and any specific concerns you wish us to address. Your order will not be processed until we receive both the completed form and the contract file.
Conflict of Interest Check
As with all legal services, we will perform a conflict-of-interest check under the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct before any work begins. If a conflict arises that prevents us from proceeding, we will notify you promptly and refund any unearned fees.
Service Period
The review process must be initiated and completed within thirty (30) days of your purchase date. If we do not receive your intake form and contract file within five (5) business days of purchase, your order may be placed on hold. After 30 days, unused services expire, and any continued work will require a new engagement.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing truthful and complete information. Failure to provide the contract, complete the intake form, or cooperate in the review process may delay or void the engagement. We reserve the right to terminate the engagement and retain earned fees for work performed up to that point, in accordance with our Client Engagement Agreement.
Exclusions
This package does not include:
Drafting new contracts
Negotiating with third parties
Legal advice outside the scope of the submitted document
These services may be available through an upgraded engagement or hourly services.
Filing Deadlines or Urgent Timelines
If your contract requires urgent turnaround (e.g., deadlines within 72 hours), a rush fee may apply. Please contact our office prior to purchase to confirm availability.
Governing Agreement
All work is governed by our standard Client Engagement Agreement. Package pricing and scope are subject to change at any time.
