Contract Drafting Essentials: Engagement Terms
Required Information
You must complete our Contract Drafting Intake Form before we begin work. This form collects all necessary business and deal details. We cannot start the engagement without it.
Conflict of Interest Check
We will conduct a standard conflict-of-interest check under the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct. If a conflict prevents us from proceeding, we will notify you and refund any unearned fees.
Service Period
All services under this package must be completed within thirty (30) days of the purchase date. This includes the strategy call, delivery of the initial draft, and submission of any revision requests. If you do not provide the necessary information or respond within this timeframe, the engagement will close, and further work will require a new agreement.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Providing clear and accurate details in the intake form
Attending the strategy call (if scheduled)
Reviewing and responding to the draft within the revision period
Delays, incomplete information, or failure to respond may result in expiration of the package. Fees earned for completed work will not be refunded.
Exclusions
This package does not include:
Negotiation with third parties
Reviewing contracts not drafted by our office
Multiple versions of the same agreement
Ongoing contract advice or updates after the engagement ends
These services are available through custom legal engagements.
Urgent Requests
If you need expedited delivery (under 72 hours), a rush fee will apply and is subject to attorney availability.
Governing Terms
All legal services are governed by our Client Engagement Agreement. Package terms and pricing are subject to change without notice.
